Facebook Ads.....How Do They Work?
HOW DO FACEBOOK ADS WORK?It is true that FB ads work virally, as other ads on the net also work. However, these ads are put there by marketers themselves, in accordance to what is written in the profile by the person whose profile it is.
So, for someone who says that he enjoys skiing, FB places ads which deal with all kinds of skiing related stuff as they know that an avid skier will be interested in such stuff. Not only that, a lot of his skiing friends are also his friends on FB and they and their families also take interest in such stuff. So when he clicks on skiing related links in the ads on his page and 'likes' the page – in other words he becomes a 'Fan' of the page then his skiing friends also look at it and 'like' it and so it spreads virally among targeted prospective clients.
FB also gives a lot of freedom to its users to place different apps and widgets on their page and people feel in control of what is on their page as they can 'unlike' it at any time or indicate that they want the story 'hidden' and stuff like that not shown again.
FB also explains to you in layperson's terms step by step how to create ads. But keeping in mind that people can 'unlike' your stuff you will need to be clever at learning how to advertise, what and where.
Social Facebook ads can be easily created by anyone at a fraction of what it would cost if they were to use Google Adwords. With Google Adwords you pay for each impression or for each click. Facebook ads are paid for, by you, in advance. As the credit runs low, you just keep topping it up - to keep the ads showing. In order that you may track your ads, FB has created FB Insights, which keeps you updated with how your ads are faring and the actual numbers of views and clicks it receives.
In an effort to ensure that you are using the right keywords for targeting your ads to reach the right people, check out the ads of others with similar interests and use the keywords that they are using. This can be done quite easily by finding Fan Pages and groups with similar interests to the interests you are wanting to place ads for. Do keep in mind though that FB is basically an entertainment site not a business one, so make sure your stuff is light and acceptable. FB does hold the right to allow or not allow any ad that you wish to place.
Although FB is not really the right choice for business ads, however, you can use FB to create awareness and curiosity about it. You can promote those FB pages and increase their popularity, so as to brand them. Always try and bring in a 'social entertainment' value into your FB ads, because basically FB is a social site.
You can promote Affiliate products, however, you have to be clever and do it in a way that you are not directly selling a product, but rather taking people to the link that has the site where the stuff is sold.
For aggressive selling of products – Google AdWords is the place to put the Ads. In order to do that your knowledge of SEO is a huge requirement; else, you will end up spending too much on your ads.
Always remember that with any kind of advertising you need to have a credit limit created, so that your ads stop when your credit runs out. If you don't do that you could find yourself with hefty bills that you have no desire to pay – but pay them you must!!!
If you wish to have contests etc on your page you need FBs permission. They have strict guidelines which you will have to adhere to (in order to cut out fraud) but if your contests are genuine you should be able to run them. Do check the guidelines in advance though.
In order to get your page branded easily and quickly, authenticity, transparency, trust, connection with community are all essential elements.
FB employees have created FB Solutions, a site you must visit often and check out if you want to place ads with FB.
You can add posts, videos, links and photos with your ads. Your page should help you to create reliability in your FB presence. The best way to do that is to keep connected with your fans in a personal way. Fans should be able to read interesting, latest information that will interest them in your page. Your FB page is a public page for your business but it needs to be promoted in a friendly social way, not hard core buy or sell stuff. Make it so people want to visit it and try and do it so that you engage your fans actively in your page.

Ensure that you read and follow all guidelines. And don't rush into ad creation. Plan for long term ad creation techniques and one which gives you maximum coverage for your dollar. Don't put all your eggs into one basket, small bite sized ads in different places will help show you where your ads work best.
Ensure that when you put in an ad you put in your link as well. Without the link your ad will go waste. Your ad needs to point to your FB page and also link to your website.

Life in the 21st Century.....wow, what a different world it is that we live in today.
The 21st Century isj a far cry from the 50s when I was born. At that time, movement around the globe was very limited. Those who had been abroad were looked upon in awe. However, today it has become so easy for people to move freely from one end of the world to the other, that there is hardly anyone (except those riddled with poverty) who have not been somewhere out of their own country.
In those days, people with telephones, at least in India - were few and far between. And even with a phone connection was a problem, especially if you wanted to call out of the city you were in. You had to call an operator who would take a few hours and then call and connect you with the person you wanted to talk to. If it was another country you were calling, often, the calls would be cancelled by the operator because of the time difference between the two countries. This was so as to ensure you did not end up calling someone at 3 am a night.
However, today thanks to computers and the internet we have literraly seen technological miracles in the world with connectivity at our finger tips. Not only that, it has actually opened out the playfield for those who wish to work from home

Internet Marketing is creating a huge global seller and customer base. And anyone, with a computer, internet connection and a willingness to learn how to build an online business can do it. Some companies, allow for Free joining and supply most of the essentials Free. Others, charge a small sum to join, etc. It's up to you which direction you wish to take.
There are many sites out there where you can join as an Affiliate Marketer. However, do be careful that you join one that is not after what it can get from you. I have chosen to join SFI (Strong Future International) because it is a legitimate business that is moving ahead and making many very wealthy people along the way. What made me join was thta I had nothing to loose - SFI never insists that you buy anything and it lets you take as long as you wish in order to build your business.
I also really liked the fact that SFI is always training me and giving me all the knowledge and education that I need to build this business. Look for a company like SFI , or look and join SFI itself so you too can build your business free of charge without worrying.

The key to online marketing.
I'm sorry folks I have been away from blogging for a while. I was just so tied up in other important things and unfortunately, no matter how hard I tried, I got not more than 24 hours in a day.:) However, now I am back and will endeavour to be regular again.
This post is about online marketing and what you need to do to become a good and successful online entrepreneur. Although, there are many things that you need to do - like create a network of Affiliates; learn to advertise and promote your site; find people who would like to join you as ECommerce Associates - the one thing that creates the required momentum in your business is duplication.
DUPLICATION IS THE MOST IMPORTANT AND THE MOST DIFFICULT ELEMENT OF ANY NETWORKING BUSINESS.
So, how do you achieve duplication? Well, it takes effort, but, is definitely worth it. You will find there are basically three kind of people who will join you in your business.
1. Is the kind who joins up and does zilch. Absolutely zero!!!............ However, some do eventually wake up and even build big businesses so don't write them off yet. In fact, I feel you should never write anyone off. Keep sending them weekly newsletters - unless they request that you don't .... you never know when they may wake up and realize that they have a fabulous opportunity on their hands that they are missing out on.
2. Then there are the half-awake kind, they want to build but for diverse reasons may be just yo-yoing in your business, logging in once in a while and doing a couple of things before they disappear again.
A number of them, may not know what to do, they may not be computer and internet savvy. They may be working full-time, may not know the language, etc. etc. etc. Whatever the reason they are the people who, if you help them, may build the business. They may just need help.
For language problems just go to your browser and write the name of the language you want to translate to, in Google translate. You can then send them a message that you have written in English and but translated for them in their language.
For other problems see if you can help them yourself. If not throw the question at into a relevant Forum and you are sure to get some answers.
3. This is the type you really want, but, they are few and far between - but hang in there, they do exist and will pop there head every once in a while. The average is one in 30 will be the person you are looking for. So cheer up, and remember its just a numbers game, so when someone joins you and does'nt do anything, thank them sincerely and nicely and just think to yourself "next".
Duplication actually happens when you do what you are meant to do - and your downline see what you are doing and those that are genuine business builders will pick up their ques from you.:) It is these few members in your downline who will actually help explode your business if you let them.
We have some real big builders in my main Affiliate Marketing business. One, that I am in touch with personally has over a 2000 serious business builders in his business and is making mega bucks each month. Do you think you could get there? Of course you could, if you just decided that you are going to do whatever it takes to build this business.
Do remember that a person who quits can never win and a person who wins is merely someone who has refused to quit.

Another great way of advertising your sites is via the medium of Forum marketing. Just type into the browser "work-at-home forum" and variants of the same and it will throw up a number of sites which relate. Choose the first two pages - they are generally the most popular forums.
What happens in forums, is that people who are interested in the same thing as you come to the forum. It is their meeting place - where they meet to get their questions answered. By joining in these forums, you will actually meet others who are interested in working at home like you. If you can create trust and respect in their mind, they will click on your business links (which you can put into your signature - you are not allowed to put them in your posts - that is considered spamming) and if they like what you say they may even decide to join you.
Just remember that when you write in the forums, you should ensure that you know what you are talking about. By giving people the right answers you will be helping them and adding value to them. If you don't know the answers, well, now you can learn from replies others in the know send to their queries.
You are also free to put in your questions, there is bond to be someone who will know the right answer.
Forums also give you a lot of free, useful information and the chance to make good networking friends, without any cost to you. Also, forums allow you to post your signature for free. Here, you can put your links for your businesses. You can also get a lot of ideas for what to write about in your articles and blogs, etc.
When you create backlinks with a hyperlink to your website, search engines give you credit for it. The whole idea is to get your listing as high as possible with search engines. That in turn, will get you more traffic and hence more customers and profits.
